Good News: Long-Term Client Chooses Comsight Again for Curved Outdoor Ticker Display Upgrade
Date: February 11, 2026
Comsight is proud to announce the successful upgrade of a large-scale curved outdoor ticker display for a landmark public park in Oceania.
More than 10 years ago, Comsight custom-designed and supplied the original outdoor LED ticker display for this landmark venue, located in a high-sunlight, outdoor coastal environment in the Oceania region. After a decade of stable and reliable operation, the client recently initiated a display upgrade to meet higher requirements for image quality, brightness, and energy efficiency.
Based on proven long-term performance and strong engineering capability, the customer once again selected Comsight as their trusted LED display manufacturer and solution provider.
Project Overview: From WZG40 to WZG60 Upgrade
This project upgraded the original WZG40x1688 outdoor ticker display to the higher-resolution WZG60x2640 model while maintaining full installation compatibility.
- Original Model: WZG40x1688-1R1G1B-25.0-OSF
- Upgraded Model: WZG60x2640-1R1G1B-16.0-OSF
The new solution represents a comprehensive upgrade in resolution, brightness, power efficiency, and structural design, while remaining fully compatible with the existing installation environment—significantly reducing upgrade complexity and cost.
Key Advantages of the Upgraded Curved Outdoor LED Ticker Display
1. Higher Resolution with Finer Image Quality
The upgraded curved outdoor LED ticker display uses a smaller pixel pitch to deliver sharper text and smoother graphics across the entire arc-shaped screen.
For sports venues, this means better readability from long viewing distances and cleaner scrolling content during live events. Fans can read player stats, announcements, and sponsor messages without squinting — even in bright daylight.
2. 7,000 Nits Brightness with Lower Energy Consumption
The new lens-type LED system increases brightness from 5,000 cd/m² to 7,000 cd/m².
That extra brightness ensures strong visibility under direct sunlight, which is essential for outdoor sports venues in Australia.
At the same time, the system reduces overall power consumption thanks to higher-efficiency LED chips and upgraded switching power supplies.
Higher brightness. Lower energy cost. Better contrast.

3. Lightweight Front-Service Maintenance Design
The new front-service modular cabinet replaces the older front-opening structure.
This change reduces overall cabinet weight, simplifies installation, and shortens maintenance time.
If a module needs replacement, technicians can access it directly from the front — no complex disassembly required. That means less downtime during busy event seasons.
4. 320 × 320 mm Standardized Modular Architecture
The system uses standardized 320 × 320 mm LED modules.
This modular structure allows future resolution upgrades by simply replacing smaller-pitch modules — without replacing the entire cabinet structure.
For venue operators, that means long-term flexibility and lower lifecycle costs.

5. Improved Thermal Performance for Longer Lifespan
The upgraded power system reduces heat generation while improving power stability.
Lower heat output protects internal components, extends LED lifespan, and supports stable long-hour operation during major sports events.

Why This Upgrade Matters for Stadium and Sports Park Operators?
Upgrading an outdoor LED ticker display isn’t just about sharper visuals.
For venue operators, it affects:
• Long-Term Operating Costs
• Maintenance Downtime
• Fan Viewing Experience
• Sponsor Visibility
By keeping the existing installation structure while upgrading resolution and brightness, this project significantly reduced retrofit complexity and labor cost.
That’s a smart engineering move (and one many venues overlook when planning upgrades).
Long-Term Partnership Built on Trust
This project once again demonstrates Comsight’s strengths in custom outdoor LED display engineering, long-term product reliability, and flexible upgrade design.
Being selected again after more than a decade is a strong endorsement of Comsight’s commitment to quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
